Welcome to the information page for Northstar Fellows – a homeschool leadership and service collective, founded by Nichole Holze, and based in Texarkana, USA (for now). This collective focuses on growing, developing, and equipping homeschool, high school students for their next step; whether it’s college, trade school, or a career.

What is Northstar Fellows?
I have homeschooled my own children from the very beginning of their education, and my son recently completed 9th grade. As we have moved into the high school years, I’ve noticed a growing need within our homeschool community for leadership development, civic engagement, and meaningful service opportunities for students.
Northstar Fellows was created to help bridge that gap.
This homeschool leadership and service organization is designed to help homeschooled high school students grow in leadership, character, service, and community involvement while preparing for their future paths; whether that includes trade school, entrepreneurship, military service, two or four year college, or entering the workforce.
Who is it for?
Northstar Fellows is designed for homeschooled high school students beginning at age 14 and entering 9th grade. The organization follows the traditional academic school year calendar, with applications opening twice annually: once during the summer enrollment period (June–August) and again during winter enrollment (December–January).
Participation in Northstar Fellows requires an application and acceptance into the program. Students accepted into the organization will commit to leadership development, community service, and active participation throughout the academic year.
What will it include?
Through leadership book discussions (both virtual and in person), volunteer opportunities, mentorship, college and career exposure, and community engagement, students will have the opportunity to develop valuable life skills while building a meaningful record of leadership and service throughout their high school years.
Northstar Fellows will also include:
- The opportunity to earn .5 elective credits in Leadership Studies each year via a book club (4 year cycle with 12 books), volunteering, and other events
- Graduation cords, certificates, and recognition within the organization
- Signing days for college, trade school, military, and career commitments
- Quarterly seminars for both parents and students
- Guest speakers and leadership development opportunities
- Guidance on transcripts, dual credit, and future planning
- College tours for local schools and nearby ArkLaTex universities

What is the goal?
My goal is not simply to create another homeschool group, but to cultivate a generation of young leaders who are prepared to serve, contribute, lead, and excel within their communities and on whatever path they choose moving forward.
